Beau had her newborn photo's taken, and it was a rocky start. We cuddled and settled her with milk, and nappy changes. She was not for sleeping. Any way after a little cry, and top up of milk, she slept, and when I mean slept, she was so sleepy we managed a whole variety of difficult poses! She was a dream.
Newborn session's are not how most people see them as being, not just a few quick snaps. They take time, talent and planning, and sometimes things don't always go to plan. I am patient, and have a lot of patience when photographing newborns, after all they are just little people after all. I listen to my newborns, they dictate the session, not me. Sometimes when they are not settling straight away, I see parents getting very stressed or anxious - don't be, they will eventually fall asleep, and I will work my magic. If not and I think baby is getting anxious too, I will re-schedule, sometimes babies suffer from tummy aches, and no one would like to be posed with a tummy ache, I know I wouldn't. Little Beau's gallery is full of beautiful poses, and variety of shots, and that's because we kept calm, and carried on. Her shoot took me around 5 hours, which is a little longer than normal, but so worth it for these results! Specialist photographer's will take their time to get the shots, and will not clock watch at all. I hope you liked my sneak peek of Beau's gallery, and a little blog about what to expect from a newborn session. I take bookings from as early as your 20 week scan, this ensures you are guaranteed a slot, and avoids disappointment. Keep checking back for more photo's, news and updates. Sarah McLean x
