I have become a member of The Guild, a professional body for professional photographers. I entered this image into the competition, and received my first Bronze Award. I am so happy.

Meet baby Ava, at only a few days old, she was so sleepy for her photo session. We even managed to photograph her in a basket too.
Baby Loui was 15 weeks when he had his first photo session. He was so playful, I captured him awake, smiling and gurgling away. He then got very tired and fell asleep over mums shoulder, I couldn't resist posing his arms for these cute shots.
Welcome baby Heidi. Heidi was one of my 'older' newborns (in the 5+ weeks) even though she past the recommended window for the recommended newborn sessions, I still achieved these beautiful sleepy shots. I won't lie, these did take some time & patience to capture, and she was more of a 'cat napper' so she did not sleep as long or as deep as newborns do in the first couple of weeks. I photograph newborns up to 8 weeks.
I had the pleasure of photographing baby Beartriz at only a few days old. I also had the opportunity to shoot some timeless Mother and Baby, Father and Baby, and family shots of them all.
I love capturing beautiful images of newborn babies with their parents. These make lasting memories of just how small s/he was when they were so tiny. I low shooting low key black & white portraits with the parents, to create a beautiful & timeless piece of wall art. Not all new parents feel comfortable in-front of the camera after a sleepless night, I always encourage parents to maybe try one or two images with their newborn, then they have the option there when it comes to choosing their favourites, and most of the time the parent shot is their favourite. The Dad and baby skin to skin shot is one of my most popular requests for parent shots, I can feel the eternal bond of both father and child in the portrait I create. |
